Recently one of my friends called up and asked was it possible to provide a remote management and realtime monitoring of solar inverters. He added that the inverter supported ModBus. I quickly grasped this opportunity, as I saw, I can put my recently learned IoT stack to test! I spent a couple of hours to gather all the necessary info.
